Fits and Starts

First off, I finished a small version of the Libs Elliot "Weight of Love" from her class here a few months ago.  I am finishing the bigger one from class right now but I took time to play one weekend with some friends. They had a Accuquilt Go Big and so while they played around with these shapes I used my Hex n more Ruler by Jaybird Quilts and cut small pieces to play. "Around the Block" party finish this week. 40 "x 40" approx.  My last week was so productive that I only have a small finish so far this week.  My lqg got together one afternoon to make improv house blocks. This one had an amber orange color, a chocolate brown and an aqua. I sort of mixed in some gold too but it was fun trying out a color scheme like this and I think it would be fun guild project.  I love how they turned out and and it has started some talk about doing some outreach work for Habitat for Humanity homes. These would be great to do and each house adds a bit of whimsy.  Linking up with Let's bee social @  Sew Fresh Quilts and NTT @  My Quilt Infatuation and Amanda Jean @  Crazy Mom Quilts  and Show off Saturday with  Sew Can She
