Finish it up Friday and S'more Love Giveaway

Today I have a quilt top done from my "Goodnight Irene" QAL over at Terry's Treasures HERE.  This was a pretty fast and fun put together. Few issues along the way but now going to piece a back and get this baby quilted. Today...or tomorrow...or soon!!!!

I decided to go 5 x 7 rows and then add the border. I think it will be a pretty good size. I am going to use more fat quarters for the back I think. The mix of prints and colors worked pretty well overall. Indoor pic..sorry! We have had nothing but high winds the last couple of days.  Lovely looking scorched ironing board in the corner and all for your viewing pleasure.:)

I will be linking up with Crazy Mom Quilts Finish it up Friday

Now I am going to let you know that yesterday was my 100th post! whoop whoopie!!!

AND....

Dec. 31st 2013 was my 1 year Blog-anniversary! If I would have been on task I would have hit them both pretty close to the same time. But here I am now and ready to try my hand at giving back to those of you that stop by and read or view my quilty projects.

I have selected a cute little charm pack of S'more Love and two coordinating fat quarters to go with. Along with that 2 fat quarters of the soo soo soft  Pepper Cory shot cottons to match. THIS is an idea of what they are like. I can not tell you how soft and lovely these are.

Along with that I am giving away my two favorite tools of 2013 that I talked about in the New Blogger Bloghop post last year HERE!
A lovely Kwik Klip to help you get those quilts pin basted...and a purple Frixion pen. If you google the pen you can decide if it is right for you but I have had nothing but ease of marking and when heated with an iron it disappears.

To enter you just have to be a U.S. resident (sorry this is my first giveaway trial and I want it to be easy. Plus I do not have any sponsors so this is just me buying and sending this as a thank you gift to  the quilters out there who have helped me blog and create). If you are a no-reply blogger I will draw again until I get a winner that I can contact.

Leave a comment below about how long you have been blogging or quilting and any tips for me. You do not have to follow me unless you want to. On Saturday 1-18 at 1:00 p.m. CST I will do a random draw for the winner.
Thanks for stopping by and good luck!  ONE entry per person please!

The giveaway is now closed. I will be posting the winner shortly
WINNER = Shauna from Texas!!! woot woot!

Congratulations on your one year blogiversary!! I think your quilt looks fabulous with the dark background. As far as tips on blogging, I would just say to write for yourself as a quilting journal. Be inspired by your own creativity. And enjoy the journey :-)

Hi Kris - Happy 100th Post! I am glad to have discovered your blog. I've only been blogging for about 4 months but love it. It is so cool to see what other people are working on and what they're writing about. The pictures are the best! Your lead photo of the sunshine quilt is simply amazing. That drew me in immediately! I'm looking forward to seeing more of what you are working on :)

What a cool quilt - I love that it changes in looks as you focus on different areas. I have been sewing for a long time... But sewing for a business for 3 years as of January 1st. I have blogged (personally) off and on for a while but started a blog for my sewing / business this year! I have quilted off and on but I feel like I am still very much a novice!

Thanks for the opportunity to win!
HI Kris! I'm returning the visit from myplvl.blogspot.com (Val's Quilting Studio) I gladly added myself as a GFC follower! Congrats on your blogiversary! I'm new to your blog, and I wanted to mention that I LOVE the curves in your banner! I know you've already closed your giveaway, but I learned something recently that I thought was super helpful for me - if you're paper piecing and you've printed your template with a laser printer, use parchment paper under your pattern when you iron so the image won't come off onto your ironing board. I'd used muslin, but the paper moves in and out of the way much easier. Cheers!
